A Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) contract, from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), has been awarded to Systems Made Simple, a Lockheed Martin company.

T4NG is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a potential value of $22.3 billion spread over the next 10 years to the 21 contractors who are chosen. The contract aims to promote smooth integration of health information technology, information technology (IT) and telecommunication solutions to improve health services for veterans.

“T4NG is essential as the VA continues its business transformation toward a Veteran-centric, results-driven and forward-looking organization,” Horace Blackman, vice president for health and life sciences at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions, said. “We look forward to providing our IT and health expertise to deliver the right solutions to meet these goals and ultimately improve veterans' health and benefits experiences.”

Lockheed Martin has a long history of providing services and technical expertise to federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Social Security Administration and the Defense Health Agency.
