Armed forces, related agencies award new service contracts

The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, Army, Missile Defense Agency, Navy, Air Force and Washington Headquarters Services recently awarded several service contracts.

Defense Logistics Agency

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded multiple one-year contracts to several fuel companies for supply services. Awards ranged from $12,344,180 to $679,722,036. Locations for supply services include Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Kansas, Louisiana, Virginia, Alabama, North Dakota, Minnesota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Indiana, Illinois, Florida and Utah. The contracts run through April 30, 2017, and the contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Energy in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

 The Kalmar RT Center in Cibolo, Texas, was awarded a $8,077,989 contract to produce weapon and aircraft replacement parts. All work will be performed in Texas and completed by March 28, 2019. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Columbus, Ohio.

Missile Defense Agency

The Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta was awarded a $134 million contract for sensor-system and other advanced technology research and development. Work will be completed in Atlanta, with the contract running through March 29, 2021. The Missile Defense Agency's Redstone Arsenal office in Alabama is the contracting entity.

Army

Vingtech LLC in Biddeford, Maine, and Wilcox Industries in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, were awarded a $151.8 million contract to supply the Grenadier Sighting System, for use on a grenade launcher. Work will be completed by March 28, 2022, at sites to be determined with each order. The Army Contracting Command at the Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey is the contracting entity.

Harris Corp. in Rochester, New York, was awarded a $20,116,679 contract to supply radios, spares, installation kits and continental U.S. unit-level test equipment training in Morocco, Kuwait and Qatar. The work will be completed by Feb. 2, 2021, and Army Contracting Command in Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting entity.

WMR-532 LLC in Hartselle, Alabama, was awarded a $10 million contract  for operation, maintenance and technical support services for the Army Corps of Engineers and Joint Airborne Lidar Bathmetry Technical Center of Expertise. Work will be completed by March 31, 2017, and the Army Corps of Engineers in Mobile, Alabama, is the contracting entity.

CentralCare Inc. in Annandale, Virginia, was awarded a $9,876,830 contract to provide dental services through March 30, 2017. The Army Medical Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is the contracting entity.

Navy

Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems subsidiary in San Diego, California, was awarded a $20,618,850 contract to supply Global Positioning System (GPS)-based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) services and develop software. Work will be done in San Diego and finished by Aug. 31, 2017. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego is the contracting entity.

Readiness Management Support LC of Panama City, Florida, was awarded a $16,721,185 modification on a previous contract to provide aviation command and control operations and maintenance services in support of the Air Force Central Command. Work will be conducted in Southwest Asia, and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting entity.

Creek Technologies Co. in Beavercreek, Ohio, was awarded a $12,129,445 contract to provide course development, teaching and subject-matter analysts for the Center for Homeland Defense and Security programs for the Naval Postgraduate School. Services will be provided in Monterey, California, through March 2017. The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center in San Diego, California, is the contracting entity.

Boeing Co. in Seattle was awarded a $9,335,027 modification to a previous contract to provide engineering services and supplies to update flight simulators for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. Work will be conducted in Seattle and Patuxent River, Maryland, and completed by January 2018. The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River is the contracting entity.

Air Force

Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Co. subsidiary in Fort Worth, Texas. One amounts to $16.7 million modification to a previous contract to incorporate an unpriced change order for mitigation of common integrated processor multi-chip modules diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages. The work will be done in Fort Worth and will be completed by Dec. 31, 2016. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base in Utah is the contracting entity.

Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Co. subsidiary in Fort Worth, Texas was awarded a $10,715,765 modification on a previous contract to definitize the F-22 avionics split line relocation depot activation. The contractor will relocate the Avionics Integration Laboratory (AIL) Split Line to the Ogden Air Logistics Complex. The work will be done in Fort Worth and at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and completed by April 30, 2017. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base in Utah is the contracting entity.

Washington Headquarters Services

NetCentrics Corp. in Herndon, Virginia, was awarded a $13.1 million contract to provide IT operations front-office support services for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), WHS-supported organizations and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. Such services also may be provided to the Office of General Counsel, the Defense Legal Services Agency, the Central Adjudication Facility and the Office of Military Commissions. The contract for services, which will be conducted in the National Capital Region, runs through Aug. 31, 2016. The Washington Headquarters Services in Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting entity.
