The Israeli Ministry of Defense recently awarded Gama Operations Ltd. a follow-on contract to supply emergency interactive voice-response (IVR) systems for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Gama Operations, which provides advanced telecommunications solutions, specializes in IVR systems and has worked with the IDF as a supplier since 2001. The latest contract will see its proprietary IVR platform adapted to large-scale army reserve call-up and homeland security training applications.

"Gama combines great technology with a team of software engineers who know what it takes to deliver exceptional IVR experiences," Gama Operations CEO Eyal Alon said. "Being selected again by the IDF as a supplier of reserve call-up systems in today's technology-driven battlefield is an important milestone in our long-standing relationship. We are convinced that this contract will pave the way for additional contracts from other public and private organizations, both in Israel and overseas."

The company’s IVR platform is the culmination of more than 20 years of development and allows for voice broadcasting and mass notification, enabling the activities of military organizations, defense agencies and emergency-management units. It allows for millions of voice and text messages to be delivered over multiple communication networks and can track that delivery process in real time.
