Cubic Global Defense names chief technology officer
As CTO, Kruse will be responsible for accelerating and enhancing CGD’s strategic research and development portfolio for defense. She will be in charge of pursuing emerging technologies that will drive innovation for Cubic Corp.
Kruse brings years of experience working in the tech-science field and with developing defense technology. She has previously been a program manager at the Defense Sciences Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Kruse managed various programs including efforts in augmented cognition, neurotechnology for intelligence analysts, accelerated learning and cognitive technology threat warning systems.
Before DARPA, she served as a technology and program management consultant at Strategic Analysis, Inc., where she provided technical assistance for nascent neuroscience programs at DARPA, the Office of Naval Research and the Naval Research labs.
“I’m thrilled to take on and develop the role of CTO for Cubic Global Defense and I’m passionate about innovation and pursuing emerging technologies to develop what’s next for an already outstanding portfolio of CGD systems and services,” Kruse said. “I look forward to leveraging my experience with game-changing R&D to create growth opportunities for the entire CGD business.”
Kruse holds a Ph.D in neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where she was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship in neuroscience.
