Engineering company Alion Science and Technology received the Defense Technical Information Center’s (DTIC) Cyber Security and Information Systems Technical Area Tasks Multiple Award Contract (CS TAT MAC), the Defense Department said on Wednesday.

“As the DoD looks to strengthen its cyber and information systems capabilities, Alion’s expertise in all of the key contract areas will help to identify both incremental and large-scale improvements,” Alion CEO Bahman Atefi, said. “Alion’s long history supporting the predecessors to this program gives us a unique perspective on how to deliver the most effective solutions, quickly and within budget.”

Alion's skills will be tapped for technical analysis, research and development, and evaluation in the areas of  information assurance, software analysis, information sharing, knowledge management, and modeling and simulation (M&S). The hope is that the work will help build the Scientific and Technical Information (STI) for DTIC’s libraries, resulting in more sharing of information.
