IFS, the global enterprise applications company based in Sweden, announced that the company has landed a major deal with a U.S. defense contractor, which will be implementing IFS Applications across the company.
The agreement is estimated to be worth around $30 million over the next ten years, including $5 million in license revenue, which will be recognized over the next two years.
IFS manufactures some of the world’s most sophisticated business software for enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise asset management (EAM) and enterprise service management (ESM). Those products make the company’s offerings popular among large defense contracting firms.
“Defense contractors need solutions that are flexible enough to allow them to quickly adapt to changing military needs,” Cindy Jaudon, president and CEO of IFS Americas, said. “We’re excited about this expansion of our existing successful relationship and look forward to continuing to support the important work our customer does for U.S. defense operations.”
Globally, IFS is the leading vendor of software to the aerospace and defense sectors. IFS Applications supports full-spectrum enterprise, project and program-centric manufacturing.
The company also supports heavy, complex and component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for civil aviation, military and service providers, as well as line maintenance for platform and asset support.
