The company has been designing and constructing armored and non-armored vehicles for over 11 years, serving Special Operations consistently.
“We pay close attention to feedback from operators to support our vehicles in the field and to refine our designs,” Battelle Program Manager Jim LaBine said.
Battelle, based in Columbus, Ohio, has provided approximately 300 vehicles for Special Operations under current contracts. The vehicles are designed to be rugged and to do the job, but they are also designed to be functional and easily operated. The vehicles come in a variety of options. Gun mounts can be placed on top of the vehicles or on the rear. They also can come in right-handed or left-handed drive, automatic or manual transmission, and diesel or gasoline engines.
Battelle unveiled its new armored 79 Series Land Cruiser at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in May.
