Leidos to submit bids for Special Ops delivery order

Leidos was selected as one of the four contractors to compete for delivery orders under the $750 million contract.

This prime contract, awarded by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), has a five-year base period to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions to support acquisitions, technology and logistics for Special Operations Forces in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.

"Having supported USSOCOM for more than 20 years responding to procurement, logistical and technical challenges, we are ready to leverage our expertise and focused processes to rapidly and reliably deliver equipment to Special Operations Forces on demanding operational timelines," Leidos Group President Sam Gordy said.

The USSOCOM contract requires ISR solutions including communications solutions, hardware, hardware modifications and systems integration.

Leidos is a security, health and engineering company with 19,000 employees. While Leidos is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, most of the work on this project will be performed in Charleston, South Carolina.
