The Department of Defense recently announced the awarding of several government contracts.
AT&T, Artel LLC, BT Federal, Qwest Government Services, Level 3 Communications and Verizon Business Network Services were among eight companies awarded contracts to provide telecommunications network solutions and services through the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The combined award has a maximum value of $4.3 billion, with the contract period running through Dec. 20, 2025.
CH2M Hill Inc., AMEC Programs and Zapata Inc. were awarded contracts to provide architect-engineering services at Air Force installations worldwide through Dec. 21, 2023. The maximum value of the contract is $500 million.
Lockheed Martin received a $1.17 billion contract with the U.S. Navy to acquire parts and materials to produce 11 F-35 aircraft.
The Navy also awarded a $9.9 million contract to Boeing Co. for repairs to 26 trailing edge flaps that are used on F-18 aircraft.
Ratheon Co. was awarded a $95.2 million modification to an existing foreign military sales contract for the U.S. Army. The contract includes technical assistance for the PATRIOT system in Taiwan and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2017.
