Army, Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency award new contracts

Several companies were awarded Army, Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency contracts for test and evaluation support services, architectural and engineering support, vehicle parts, combat boots and tactical missiles.

A $89,223,718 contract was awarded to Engineering Research and Consulting Inc., in Huntsville, Alabama, for climatic, Dynamic and propulsion test divisions testing and evaluation support services. The estimated completion date is Oct. 13, 2018, and Army Contracting Command in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting entity.

Leidos, an engineering company in Reston, Virginia, was awarded a $9 million contract to provide architectural and engineering environmental support for military and civil works projects within the Great Lakes and the Ohio River Mission Boundaries of the Army Corps of Engineers. The completion date is set for Jan. 19, 2021, and the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville, Kentucky, is the contracting entity.

Additionally, Brighton Cromwell LLC in Randolph, New Jersey, has been awarded a maximum $17,202,863 firm-fixed-price with annual firm-fixed-price adjustment, indefinite-quantity contract for medium and light tactical vehicle parts. The work will be done in New Jersey, and the expected completion date is Jan. 19, 2019. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Columbus, Ohio.

Rocky Brand Inc. in Nelsonville, Ohio, has been awarded a maximum $15,623,052 modification (P00111) exercising the fourth one-year option period of a one-year base contract (SPM1C1-13-D-1017) with four one-year option periods to supply hot-weather combat boots. The work will be done in Ohio, with a Jan. 14, 2017, performance-completion date. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia.

Raytheon Co., in Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $14 million contract for research and development toward creating next-generation, air-launched, tactical missiles. The advancements aim to increase missile-carrying capacity, increase target effectiveness and enhance platform survivability in an anti-access, area denial (A2AD) environment. The work will be done in Tucson, Arizona, with an expected completion date of Jan. 19, 2021. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Eglin Air Force Base in Florida is the contracting entity.
