Coalition releases latest report on strikes against ISIL in Syria, Iraq

Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials released the latest report on coalition attacks against ISIL in Syria and Iraq.

Aircraft performed two strikes near Raqqah, Syria, on an ISIL unit, immobilizing an ISIL vehicle and crane. Two strikes also were executed near Ayn Isa, Syria, to destroy two buildings and one of ISIL's fighting locations.

In Iraq, there were both air and ground assaults with help from the Iraqi government. Near Huwayjah and Habbaniyah, two strikes were conducted to destroy two ISIL tactical units and one staging area. Near Fallujah, two assaults struck two tactical units and a bunker. Strikes also were made against tactical units near Kisik, Mosul and Ramadi, in which an ISIL bunker, fighting location, vehicle, storage unit, four assembly areas and a checkpoint were destroyed. Near Samarra, one strike destroyed three ISIL vehicles and a crane. Two strikes near Sinjar destroyed a fighting position and hindered a mortar position, while near Kisik, two more strikes hit another tactical unit, destroyed a fighting position and a large machine gun, and hindering another mortar position.

The international coalition against ISIS includes forces from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Jordan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
