Armed forces branches award new service contracts, modifications

The Defense Department recently announced new service contracts awarded by the Air Force,  Defense Logistics Agency, Navy and Army.

Air Force

Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control unit in Orlando, Florida, was awarded a  $116,820,526 modification on an existing contract to provide production, system upgrades, integration, sustainment, management and logistical support services for the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) program. All work will be conducted in Troy, Alabama, and completed by June 29, 2019. The contracting entity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center of Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

In Reston, Virginia, Leidos Inc., was awarded a $9,828,000 contract for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threat studies. The contracting entity is the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Work will take place in Reston and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and will be completed by March 4, 2021.

Raytheon Co.'s Space and Airborne Systems Division in Fort Wayne, Indiana, received a $7,727,621 modification to an existing contract to facilitate hardware changes tied to design issues and parts replacement, as well as software deficiencies identified during testing on the VINSON/ANDVT Cryptographic Modernization (VACM) program. The contracting entity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division of the Joint-Base in San Antonio, Texas. Work will be conducted in Fort Wayne and in Largo, Florida, and completed by March 7, 2017.

Defense Logistics Agency

Texas Power and Associates LLC of Dallas, Texas; Inglett and Stubbs International Ltd. of Atlanta, Georgia; Caterpillar Governmental and Defense Products of Mossville, Illinois; Berger Cummins JV of Washington, D.C.; and Atlantic Diving Supply Inc. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, were awarded a maximum $45 million contract to provide generator sets.  Work will be conducted at various sites in the U.S. and on various Caribbean and Pacific Islands through March 3, 2021. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia.

In Parliament, California, Falcon Fuels was awarded a $33,789,909 contract to provide various types of fuel. Work will be performed in California and Arizona through Sept. 30, 2019. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency's energy division in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies will be receiving services.

Romo Production Inc. of Santa Ana, California, has been awarded a $7,153,500 contract to provide running suit jackets. Work will take place in California and Texas through March 4, 2017. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency's Troop Support division in Philadelphia, with services provided to the Navy.

Navy

The Electric Boat Corp. of Groton, Connecticut, was awarded a $28,654,287 supplement to a previous contract for procurement of hardware and concept design for the Sea Dragon development program. Work will take place in Groton and will be completed by November 2016. The supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair in Groton is the contracting entity.

BAE Systems Hawaii in Honolulu was awarded a $14,083,000 modification on a previous contract for scheduled selected repairs on the USS Preble, totaling 104 work items. Work will be conducted at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and completed by December 2016. The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility in Pearl Harbor is the contracting entity.

Army

Boeing's Defense Space & Security unit in Huntington Beach, California, was awarded a $18,405,995 contract to provide DO-160G Tri-band radomes and mounting rings and install them on C-17A aircraft. Work will take place in Huntington Beach and will be completed by Sept. 30, 2017. The contracting entity is the Army Contracting Command in Natick, Massachusetts.

In Rocket Center, West Virginia, Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC was awarded a $17,782,960 contract for qualification of insensitive munitions propulsion systems and integration/test support required for component and system qualification testing in the Guided Multiple-Launch Rocket System. Work will be conducted in Rocket Center and completed by Dec. 31, 2017. The Army Contracting Command of the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama is the contracting entity.

In Butler, Pennsylvania, IBIS TEK LLC was awarded a $10,034,203 modification on a previous contract to provide 58-gallon and 78-gallon armor B-kits for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV). Work will be conducted in Butler and finished by Dec. 31, 2016. The Army Contracting Command in Warren, Michigan, is the contracting entity.

 

In Hayden, Idaho, Northcon Inc. was awarded an $8 million modification to a previous contract to provide maintenance, repair, upgrade and construction of real Army and civil real property facilities. Work will be completed in Fort Polk, Louisiana, and completed by March 27, 2017. The Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting entity.
