Navy, Army, Defense Logistics Agency award new service contracts

The Navy, Army and Defense Logistics Agency recently awarded new service contracts, the Defense Department said recently.

Navy

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta was awarded an $84,538,427 contract for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence and cyberspace technology research services for the Department of Defense (DoD). Work will take place in San Diego, California, and Atlanta, and should be completed by  Feb. 28, 2021. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego is the contracting entity.

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training of Manassas, Virginia, was awarded a $21,052,229 modification on a previous contract for missile, submarine and lead-based projects. Work will be conducted in Manassas; Clearwater, Florida; Marion, Massachusetts; and Syracuse, New York, and will be finished by August 2020. The Naval Sea Systems Command of Washington, D.C., is the contracting entity.

Austal USA of Mobile, Alabama, was awarded a $13,974,187 modification to a previous contract to exercise an option for special studies, analyses and review efforts for the Littoral Combat Ship Program Office, PMS 501. Work will be conducted in Mobile and Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and finished by March 2017. The Naval Sea Systems Command of the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C., is the contracting entity.

L-3 KEO of Northampton, Massachusetts, was awarded a $12,038,714 modification to a previous contract to create 16 Universal Modular Masts (UMM). This mast also can be used as a lifting device. Work will be conducted in Bologna, Italy, and Northampton, and will be finished by April 2018. The Naval Sea Systems Command of the Washington Navy Yard of Washington, D.C., is the contracting entity.

Army

Scientific Research Corp. of Atlanta, Georgia, received a $40,547,844 award  to provide technical, engineering, analytical and administrative support for the test resource management center headquarters. The location of the work will be contingent on each order and completed by March 31, 2021. The Army Contracting Command of the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland is the contracting entity.

CDM Federal Programs Corp of Cabrondale, Illinois; the Louis Berger Group in Washington, D.C.; Tetra Tech Inc. in Seattle, Washington; and Abt Associates Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts, were awarded a joint $9.4 million contract for the analysis and support of water services. Work will be done at several sites, depending on each individual order and completed by March 17, 2017. The Army Corps of Engineers in Alexandria, Virginia, is the contracting entity.

 G&G Steel of Russellville, Alabama, was awarded a $7,131,795 modification to a previous contract for the fabrication of lock-miter gates and spare parts for Mississippi River dams and locks. Work will be conducted in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, and finished by Dec. 29, 2018, The Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island, Illinois, is the contracting entity.

Defense Logistics Agency

Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, Michigan, was awarded a $7,209,521 contract to supply boots to the Marine Corps. Work will be performed in Michigan and completed by March 16, 2017. The contracting entity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support of Philadelphia.
