EOIR Technologies Inc. recently said it is one of the prime contractors hired for an $800 million Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Command and Control (EMC2) indefinite deliver/indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Navy.

"EOIR is excited to continue our support of the U.S. Navy's Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare efforts," EOIR Vice President of Electromagnetic Warfare Mark Coleman said. "EMC2 is a significant win for us. We look forward to helping develop and deploy systems that will allow our military to characterize, control and dominate the spectrum. That is the battlefield of the future."

The contract task orders will come from the Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) program, and the contract itself is part of that program’s expanded efforts to meet future Navy Radio Frequency (RF) system requirements.

Through the EMC2 project, EOIR will help develop hardware and software systems that can monitor the RF spectrum across a wide frequency range to pinpoint the best frequencies and resources to optimize electromagnetic efficiency and satisfy warfighter requirements.

EOIR’s specific supporting role will be to study, design, fabricate, integrate and test a set of prototypes as they are developed and demonstrated.
