The recent Farnborough International Airshow in England featured Lockheed Martin’s unveiling of its Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter, built in Europe, and the weapons array that can be integrated into the versatile aircraft.

Sikorsky recently became a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, and the flexibility of this new Black Hawk allows the company to cater to customer preferences when configuring the helicopter for each customer.

The armed helicopter boasts four weapons stations on its external wings with launchers for a mix of air-to-ground missiles, a 19-shot Hydra-70 rocket pod and a rocket machine-gun pod manufactured by FN HERSTAL of Belgium. The aircraft also features the INFIRNO sensor system in its cockpit chin.
