Chevron names two new members to board of directors

Chevron Corp. will add Dambisa Moyo and Wanda Austin to its board of directors by the end of the year, with Moyo to serve on the Audit Committee and Austin to serve on the Board Nominating and Governance Committee and Public Policy Committee.

Moyo is an economist with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s in finance from American University, as well as a master’s in public administration from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford. Moyo is currently the founder and CEO of Mildstorm LLC and serves on the boards of Barclays plc, Barrick Gold Corporation, SABMiller plc and Seagate Technology. Moyo previously has worked with Goldman Sachs and the World Bank.

Austin holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Franklin & Marshall College and  master’s degrees in systems engineering and mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a doctorate in systems engineering at the University of Southern California. She is currently the CEO of the Aerospace Corporation, where she has had a distinguished career since 1979, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering.
