J.F. Lehman & Co. portfolio firm Trident Maritime Systems recently signed a definitive agreement with Wilhelmsen Maritime Services AS to acquire Callenberg Technology Group in a sale that is scheduled for a late 2016 completion.

"We are very pleased to welcome Callenberg and its employees to the Trident family,” Trident CEO Tom Eccles said. “The addition of Callenberg adds a highly complementary set of systems and capabilities to the Trident platform, which will ultimately allow us to better serve our customers. This acquisition also significantly strengthens our presence internationally and improves our ability to support our global customers."

Callenberg, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, employs 900 individuals across 14 countries to design, assemble, integrate and support HVAC, electrical energy management and insulation systems for maritime vessels. Callenberg services both commercial and government vessels and has a global clientele.

Trident serves a similar base, including international government and commercial customers, as an independent provider of turnkey marine joiner, distributed, electro-mechanical, and power, propulsion, and control systems and solutions.
