U.S. Special
Operations Command (USSOCOM) recently awarded MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a
multi-year Strategic Planning and Policy Directorate (J-5) contract following a
protracted protest period.
MacB is a leading national security company known for its engineering services and product
solutions. This contract will see the company’s geo-political and cultural
subject matter personnel experts assisting in USSOCOM’s Strategic Planning and
Policy process.
USSOCOM J-5 is tasked
with developing strategy, policy and planning for Special Operations Forces (SOF) around
the world, allowing for synchronized Overseas Contingency Operations. The
command’s mission allows for international forces to cooperate toward strategic
goals for various global and theater campaigns.
To assist this
mission, MacB’s experts will provide program management, technical experience,
analysis and even editorial support, as well as other required professional
services. The contract calls for MacB to align all strategic and long-range
planning with the Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) system.
“This win supporting
SOCOM’s Strategy Division continues to demonstrate our ability to execute and
deliver critical long-term strategic planning and policy expertise to our
Combatant Command customers on a global scale," MacB Missions
Systems Group Senior Vice President and General Manager Fred Norman said. “This is
the first of what we hope will be many task orders under the SWMS-A contract.”
