The Swedish Armed
Forces recently awarded a contract to Kratos
Defense and Security Solutions, which will provide helicopter aerial gunnery training for the military.
Kratos unveiled the
new contract from its Kratos Aircrew Training Center (KATC) in Orlando,
Florida, where Swedish military personnel will train with state-of-the-art technology, including
virtual reality and projection aircrew training devices. Skills covered at the
center include aerial gunnery, search-and-rescue hoist training and cargo-sling operations.
“Kratos is dedicated
to offering the widest range of options and solutions for custom aircrew
training services to maximize ROI for our customers and performance outcomes,” Jose Diaz, senior vice president for Kratos Training Solutions, said. “We look
forward to having the Swedish Armed Forces continue to advance their mission
training and rehearsal requirements locally in our state-of-the-art Kratos
Aircrew Training Center.”
To fulfill its latest
contract, Kratos will train members of the Swedish Armed Forces with multiple
aircrew training devices at the center, covering basic firing, scanning,
situational awareness, crew coordination and target acquisition. They also will
train on hoist and cargo solutions in a range of weather conditions.
