A $53
million contract was awarded to CSRA Inc. to maintain services provided to
assist the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO).
The five-year contract, won as a recompete, was given to the next-generation IT solutions company,
enlisting CSRA to continue systems engineering and technical assistance support
for JIAMDO.
“The Joint
Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization's challenge of optimizing capabilities and
synchronizing requirements across different organizations while respecting
budget restrictions is critical in this time of increasing threats and unstable
security environments,” Ken Deutsch, CSRA executive vice president,
Defense Group, said. “Building upon our history of supporting their critical mission,
we will deliver high-level technical expertise to JIAMDO as they identify and
coordinate joint requirements to develop air, cruise missile and ballistic
missile defense solutions for the warfighter.”
CSRA will
extend its 17-year tenure with JIAMDO through this new contract. The
company will supply experts in a variety of fields throughout the organization
to conduct analysis, assessments, technology demonstrations, war games, and training
to aid in developing requirements, concepts and operational architectures for
the JIAMDO.
