Vectrus subsidiary
Vectrus Systems Corp. is one of five companies to recently win a position
in the U.S. Navy’s Global Contingency Services (GCS) Multiple Award Contract
(MAC) II, which will see the company assist in facility support and incidental
construction.
"Vectrus has
broad experience and a long history of providing for the needs of our customers
in the most challenging environments in the world," Vectrus CEO
and President Ken Hunzeker said. "Winning this position will allow Vectrus to
apply that experience in support of the Navy's most challenging short-term
contingency missions under the GCS MAC II."
The contract, from by
the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, is awarded on an
indefinite-deliver and indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) basis and bears an expected
completion date of September 2024. The company will provide short-notice
support services and incidental construction for projects stemming from natural
disasters, military efforts and humanitarian support.
"This is the
second long-term IDIQ in support of global contingency efforts that we have
been awarded, the first was the prime seat on a similar Air Force
IDIQ in June 2015," Vectrus Chief Financial Officer
Matt Klein said. "Since this is a contingency-based contract, we recognize that
opportunities will be based on world events, but we are very pleased to be part
of the effort and able to propose effective and affordable support while
developing and strengthening our relationship with the Navy."
