CACI International Inc. recently won a $22
million prime contract that will continue the company’s work supporting the
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Central Command Communication Integration (CCCI)
organization for five years.
“The U.S. Central Command plays a key role
in the government’s efforts to promote cooperation in regions that are of importance
to the United States,” CACI President and CEO Ken
Asbury said. “CACI is helping CENTCOM participate in the critical dialogues relevant
to its mission in a way that resonates with regional populations while
promoting and protecting U.S. interests and regional stability.”
CENTCOM is responsible for promoting
cooperation in the country’s response to crises and CCCI is CENTCOM’s primary adviser on
communication strategies. CACI assists CCCI with planning support and cultural
and linguistic expertise, allowing CCCI leaders to make informed decisions.
CACI’s responsibilities also include reviewing public information and helping
the command maintain a social media presence.
“CACI offers proven cultural and linguistic
expertise that the U.S. Central Command requires to successfully communicate
its mission to populations in areas where it operates,” CACI Chief
Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations John Mengucci said.
