Lockheed Martin congratulates winners from Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference

Lockheed Martin recently celebrated the accomplishments of two of its executives and two executives from Sandia National Laboratories who won awards at the annual Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC) in California.

“Diversity and inclusion are essential to fostering innovation at Lockheed Martin and we believe in creating an environment in which everyone has a chance to excel,” Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Marillyn Hewson said. “STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education is what builds the company’s diverse pipeline of talented scientists, engineers and professionals. So we congratulate each recipient for their commitment to encouraging STEM learning and serving as role models.”

From Lockheed Martin, Veronica Hernandez won the Most Promising Engineer Award for her work on value performance and metrics and involvement in her local community, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, animal and women’s shelters and retirement homes. John Martinez won the Luminary Award based on his leadership in Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems division, as well has his efforts as a foster parent and service on corporate and business area councils.
