CSRA recently won a $114 million, four-and-a-half year task order to support various offices in the Pentagon through the
development and deployment of an in-depth security network strategy.
CSRA’s network strategy will work to block,
detect, react and respond to incidents as well as work to prevent them by
putting tactics, techniques and procedures in place. The task order also
includes cooperation with military groups like U.S. Cyber Command to ensure that personnel are aware of any incidents and
potential threats.
"Oftentimes, highly sophisticated
technology is seen as the top defense against a cyberattack or intrusion," CSRA Defense Group Executive Vice President Ken Deutsch said. "While
having the right technology in place is a critical element of a successful
cybersecurity plan, we've found that developing and deploying a comprehensive
network strategy -- and collaborating with other parts of the government -- is
equally as important and needed to defend an organization's IT system
effectively."
The task order was awarded under the
CIO-SP3 contract vehicle through the Department of Defense Joint Service
Provider program. CSRA is an IT solutions and services company that focuses on
protecting systems and improving effectiveness as well as efficiency.
