MacAulay-Brown awarded ordering agreement to support Navy cyber warfare capabilities

MacAulay-Brown Inc. (MacB) recently won a multiyear Basic Ordering Agreement from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Cyber Warfare Detachment (CWD) initiative, which will see the company provide cyber warfighting capabilities for Navy aircraft and weapons and their corresponding systems.

“Being chosen to support NAVAIR’s Cyber Warfare Detachment showcases our experience delivering key cyber technologies at a rapid pace for our warfighting customers," MacB National Security Group Senior Vice President and General Manager Dan Gutierrez said. “Our team continues to meet and exceed customer expectations in a challenging and ever-changing cyber domain.”

The ordering agreement covers a range of support, including cyber penetration testing and the development of penetration tools, as well as full spectrum support for operation cyber warfare. The agreement also covers protection solutions and systems integration services, risk assessment and development of system definition and architecture.

NAVAIR CWD is responsible for developing and assessing cyber warfare capabilities related to mission assurance. This includes defending weapon and support systems like those for aircraft, unmanned vehicles, communications and logistics systems, among others. It hopes to accomplish this by developing a cyber workforce, investing in infrastructure and research and establishing standards for cyber acquisitions.
