Science Applications International Corp.
(SAIC) recently won a $700 million fixed-price, single-award, indefinite-quantity contract -- with a potential value of $1.4 billion -- from the
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for chemicals, packaged petroleum, oils and
lubricants.
“SAIC has supported DLA with multiple
logistics and supply chain solutions for more than 30 years in their mission to
provide products and services to American troops and others to accomplish their
missions,” SAIC Senior Vice President Linda Messano, who is also general
manager of the Department of Defense Agencies and Commands Customer Group, said. “We
are proud to continue these critical services to DLA for the next decade under
this contract.”
The latest contract has a base period of
five years and two options in three-year and two-year blocks. Work associated
with the contract will take place in Arizona, California, Georgia, New Jersey,
Pennsylvania and Texas.
The contract covers comprehensive logistics and supply
chain management services. It extends to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air
Force and U.S. Marine Corps, as well as federal civilian agencies and foreign
military sales customers.
Through past contracts, SAIC has delivered more than 42
million packaged petroleum, oils, lubricants and chemicals to DLA customers
over the last decade.
