The Department of Energy (DOE) recently selected
Leidos as one of eight contractors to win a multiple-award
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a five-year base period
to support the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The contract, with a ceiling of $285
million, will see the eight awardees compete for task orders related to program
management, technical expertise and survey operations.
"Leidos has been a continuous partner
to EIA for more than 30 years, and we look forward to continuing to provide
critical technical support to EIA for ongoing improvement of their survey,
analysis and modeling technology needs," Leidos Operations Manager Laura
Obloy said.
The EIA provides policy makers, industry
stakeholders and the general public with information about the energy industry
and its relationship with the country’s economy and the environment.
The administration
collects, analyses and disseminates information on the industry, and the
contract will see Leidos assisting through program management, survey support,
energy analysis and modeling and organizational support. Specifically, Leidos
will work with the EIA as it develops its Short-Term Energy Outlook, Annual
Energy Outlook and Annual International Energy Outlook.
Leidos is a global science and technology
company headquartered in Reston, Virginia, that works in the defense,
intelligence, homeland security, civil and health markets sectors.
