Following the release of the Obama administration’s 2050 energy strategy, the American Petroleum Institute called
for President Barack Obama to embrace the country’s role as a leader in natural gas
production and carbon emissions reductions.
”The United States is leading the world in
the production of oil and natural gas and leading the world in reducing carbon
emissions which are near 20 year lows,” API Senior Director for Regulatory
and Scientific Affairs Howard Feldman said. “The administration should embrace our
nation’s energy renaissance that has lowered costs for consumers, benefitted
American workers and improved the environment.”
