Americans for Prosperity (AFP) saluted members of the U.S. House of Representatives for voting to approve the proposed
Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act and the proposed Midnight Relief Act in a posting on the AFP website.
AFP said it was pleased to see the House advance these measures to limit federal regulatory overreach advance.
“These
two bills are essential to shifting more control of the regulatory state back
to the people’s duly-elected official,.”
Christine Harbin, AFP director of federal affairs and strategic initiatives, said in the posting.
“These bills give the public a chance to put a
check on the hundreds of billions of dollars in damage to the economy this
administration has caused with the alarming expansion of the regulatory state,” Harbin said.
