The
U.S. Air Force received new Smart Weapons from Taser International Inc. this month for its service deployments and training.
The
products, which according to Taser have saved more than 177,000 lives from potential death or serious injury, were shipped through AARDVARK, Taser’s distributor, with whom the Air
Force has had a long relationship.
“TASER International is
proud of our longstanding relationship with the U.S. Department of Defense,
and this order demonstrates a continued commitment by our services to protect
U.S. military personnel with our proven TASER technology,” CEO and co-founder Rick Smith said,
Founded in the 1990s, Taser International produces safety
technology and products.
