Americans for Prosperity (AFP) recently announced its support for President Donald Trump's recent signing of an executive order which would put boundaries on the federal government controlling projects.
The executive order instructs the Office of Management and Budget to identify agencies or projects that are redundant or unnecessary to be under federal control and to report its findings to the White House.
"After years of unchecked bureaucratic aggression under the Obama administration, an exhaustive project-by-project review is exactly what we need to right-size Washington, DC," AFP Vice President of External Affairs Chrissy Harbin said. "It’s time to rein in out-of-control bureaucracy that gets a hand in nearly every aspect of Americans’ daily lives and make government more effective and accountable."
She said AFP is "looking forward to working with the Office of Management and Budget, federal agencies in the Trump administration, and budget writers in Congress to identify areas where we can find efficiencies in federal agencies."
Harbin is hopeful this order will advance public education and "activate our 3.2-million-strong grassroots force across the country.”
