On Thursday, March 9, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of African Affairs and President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center Scott Eisner met with Nana Akufo-Addo, the newly elected president of Ghana, to discuss the economic relationship between the two countries.
“Ghana has proven its capacity to be a strong economic partner for American businesses," Eisner said. "A robust economic relationship benefits both of our countries, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting commercial ties in Ghana and throughout Africa."
Eisner's business outreach mission to Ghana also included talks with several other senior officials. In addition to focusing on U.S.-Ghana economic relationship, the trip also sought to address how the U.S.-Africa Business Center can continue to promote ties to the Economic Community of West African States.
In addition to having a partnership with Ghana, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce International Affairs division works with 117 American Chambers of Commerce in other countries.
