St. Louis-based Nidec's CEO honored as executive of the year

Nidec Motor Corp. CEO Kei Pang was honored as executive of the year by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of St. Louis (AACC) for his strategic development and strong leadership, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association said in a release.

"Kei is an outstanding business leader who has generously donated his time and energies toward bringing people together to share common values and aspirations for the good of the community,"  AACC President Al Li said in the release. "In addition to being forces in economic development, (they) are also major contributors to many charitable and educational initiatives."

St. Louis-based Nidec Motor, which makes commercial, industrial, and appliance motors and controls, takes great pride in working with AACC, established in St. Louis in 2011 to strengthen connections among Asian professionals and business owners both stateside and abroad, Pang said in the release.

"Nidec's mission is to develop high quality products and services that will contribute to the prosperity of society, our company and all our employees," Pang said. "We … appreciate the work (AACC) does to build and strengthen business and social relationships that benefit all of our communities."
