Comtech Telecommunications Corp. said its subsidiary Comtech Systems Inc., has received $1.5 million to provide troposcatter equipment to an international prime contractor, Businesswire reported.
The equipment that the Orlando, Florida-based subsidiary will provide will add to the capability of Comtech's current Modular Transportable Transmission System (MTTS) troposcatter terminals, which will be used to expand a communications network for an Asian Pacific military client.
“This contract demonstrates the power and flexibility of the MTTS’s modular system approach," Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said in the report. "By providing users with the ability to scale their system configurations to meet new operational requirements and changing mission sets, Comtech provides the users with an unmatched capability to support high data rate, beyond line-of-sight communications links in a deployed network.”
