DT Research introduces vehicle mount tablet for responders, field use

Philadelphia-based computer systems provider DT Research is introducing its newest vehicle mount tablet system, describing it in a release as the first of its kind to enable seamless compatibility and usage for mobile communications using advanced equipment.

The IP65 military standard DT325T tablet, which can be adapted to vehicle or wall-mount use, was recently highlighted at the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police) 2017 Conference in Philadelphia, the release said.

“We saw a need in the market for a more versatile tablet that could be used in and out of vehicles,” DT Research President Daw Tsai said in the release. “Other mountable tablets are too bulky and do not consider how the tablets will be used in real-world situations. Our vehicle mount tablet solution mirrors the unique features needed in first responder, law enforcement and field service environments.”

DT325T is equipped with a fold-up keyboard, dual pass-through antenna, high-capacity CPU, facial recognition software and optional ultra HD display, the release said. The tablet also comes with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and additional broadband capability, smart card reader, mini-HDMI, optional camera and bar code scanner.
