U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue today issued the following statement on the passing of Rep. John Dingell:
'Our country just lost a great and faithful public servant. We mourn the passing of John Dingell, whose good nature, great skill, and dedication defined his long and well-lived life. He was an institution in Congress, a force to be reckoned with, the ‘Dean of the House’ — and he served Michigan and his country with pride and honor. John was a good friend to many and he will be dearly missed. Our thoughts are with Debbie and the entire Dingell family in this difficult time."
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
